5K for hemifoundation.org

Jake and I ran our first 5k last saturday for the hemispherectomy foundation. I'm not gonna lie... it was hard for me! I haven't run that far in a very long time. It was so challenging but also inspiring to see the kids who've had a hemispherectomy (1/2 of their brain removed) out there walking the race. Jessie Hall's parents organized the whole thing. They go to NRF. Here is a link to my pictures. Proof that I finished!

Thank you to my sweet husband that ran with me. He could have finished SO much sooner but I couldn't have run as far without him. My goal was to run the whole thing under 40 min. Well... we finished in 35min and we ran it all except one hill. I thought I was dying!!! :)
